Statue Of Liberty

 Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
                                                  -Emma Lazarus

Lady Liberty's crown has seven points representing the seven seas. The torch represents a burning passion for freedom and contains a flame that is coated in gold leaf. The broken shackles at the base of Lady Liberty's feet represent freedom from oppression.

Global warming is one of the biggest issues facing our wildlife and planet. Some scientist say that the rising tempatures can cause around 20-30 percent of the earths extinction of plants and animals between now and 2050. Global warming can also cuase extintion of polar bears in our lifetime. The rising tempature is already melting the ice which makes it harder for them to hunt for food. Some are even resorting to cannibalism.
