"Let us all hope that the dark clouds of racial prejudice will soon pass away, and that in some not too distant tomorrow the radiant stars of love and brotherhood will shine over our great nation with all their scintillating beauty (Martin Luther King Jr.)." There is a lot of racism in the world now then ever before. Even more now then when Hitler was around. Like the burning of the Quran or the new Islamic Mosque that’s wanted to be built.
I think that they shouldn't build the Mosque that close to the 9/11 memorial. Not just because their Muslims but just out of respect. I also don’t think they should have tried building it around the time of the anniversary. In a way I think some people blew it out of proportion. Just because Muslims are the ones who crashed into the buildings. That doesn't mean that all Muslim people are bad but that’s what we think. But because that’s the way we were taught. That if one person does something wrong then everybody is bad.
Thursday Pastor Terry Jones called off the burning of the Korans. He had wanted to show that the Islamics are very dangerous. All because of few of them burned down the twin towers. Which I think not all of them are bad.
There are some people that agree that its okay to burn the Koran. Saying that if its okay to burn the flag then why cant they burn the Koran. Burning the Koran is like building the mosque. You know you have the right to. But is it he proper and good thing to do. I think burning the book is un American.
The burning of the Koran is not right. Pastor Terry Jones is making things worse then they need to be. By have the burning of the Koran day that makes all of us look like bad people. President Obama is saying by burning the books we are putting our troops in danger. They are afraid that there people are going to start to hate us even more. By hating us more their going to start more trouble. They think there going to want to kill our soldiers more. When they already want to kill them. I don’t think its putting them in that much danger. They are already in danger by just being there.
